Beta access

We are giving away 100 PRO licences to people who will actually use acsMacL and then tell us what they think of it. Free, no payment details, no subscription, nothing that quietly starts costing money later on.

The interface is in German. Every label, message and search prefix in the app is German, and that does not change with your system language. A tester who cannot read the interface cannot give us useful feedback — and a place taken is a place gone. Please only ask for one if German is not a problem for you.

100 places. Once they are gone it will say so here — and the free version stays, without a time limit, as it always was.

What you get

• A real PRO key by email — the same one a buyer gets. No special build, no trial mode.
• The five PRO features: clipboard without a limit instead of ten entries, snippets with placeholders, move and copy including the collection folder, screenshot with text recognition, and uninstalling applications — the full file list first, then the Trash.
• The licence covers two Macs — the same as a purchased one, not a cut-down tester key. If you change machines later, reply to your licence email and we reset your activations; you then activate once more on every Mac you are keeping.
• It does not expire. When the beta is over the key stays yours — no end date, no switch-over, no invoice afterwards. Checked against the signer: an acsMacL licence never gets an expiry date built into it in the first place.

What we ask for

Feedback, once you have had acsMacL in daily use for a week or two. A few sentences are enough: what was missing, what got in the way, what you looked for and did not find. "I stopped using it, because …" is the most useful answer of all — and you can give it without anyone taking the licence back off you.

There is no obligation, no contract and no deadline. If you never get in touch again, nothing happens. We will ask once, and then leave you alone.

What "beta" means here

Not that the app is unfinished. You download the same build as everyone else: acsMacL 1.0.5, signed with a Developer ID and notarised by Apple. Beta here means you are early, and your feedback still changes something before decisions have settled.

Needed for the search. Without it your documents stay invisible.

There is nothing to prove first

Write to us and you get the key. Trying it comes after, at your own pace — the free version runs without a time limit anyway, and if acsMacL does not suit you, just say so; that is feedback too, and it is worth more than silence.

How to get a place

1. Send us an email at acsMacL@acs-kunden.de, subject "Beta access". One sentence is enough: what you use the Mac for and what you expect from a launcher. That is all we need.
2. Download acsMacL — you can do that right away, the free version does not wait for the key.
3. You get the key by email. To redeem it: start acsMacL, open the settings, licence tab, enter the key.

We hand out the places in the order they arrive, by hand — your request is noted the moment it reaches us. One per person is enough, a second one gains you nothing. If you hear nothing, check your spam folder first: our reply comes from an address your mailbox has not seen before.

What happens to your address

We need your email address to send you the key and to know whose it is if you change machines later. We store nothing beyond that and pass nothing on. No newsletter — if you would rather not hear from us again, just say so. The details are in our privacy notice under "Beta access".

And when the places are gone?

If you have already written, your request stands. Sold out only means no new ones are added — it does not hold back your key.

Otherwise everything that is free stays free: search, full-text search, opening, the calculator, the process list, keeping the Mac awake, clipboard up to ten entries — permanently and without a time limit. And PRO costs nine euros, once, here.
