Refunds and Cancellation

In short: the seller is our payment provider Paddle, not us. Refunds are therefore requested from Paddle — how is described below. If your question is about your licence key, that one is ours.

Who your contractual partner is

The purchase is handled by Paddle.com Market Limited, 30 Old Bailey, London EC4M 7AU, United Kingdom. Paddle acts as the seller (merchant of record); the purchase contract is between you and Paddle. Paddle's buyer terms and Paddle's refund policy apply.

Your right of withdrawal

In the EU you generally have 14 days to withdraw from a one-time purchase. There is one exception you should know about: it does not apply to digital content whose use you have begun and for which you expressly waived the right at the time of purchase. That is not our invention but section 2.2.4 of Paddle's refund policy — what applies in your case is set out in the two documents linked above.

We spell this out because “14-day money back” promises more than the contract provides.

How to request a refund

Through Paddle's buyer support: paddle.net. You can find your purchase there using your email address or the invoice number. Paddle handles refunds itself, because that is where the money went — we cannot trigger one for you.

If it is about the licence key, that one is ours

Did not arrive, seat taken, changed Mac: simply reply to your licence email and we will sort it out directly. When you change machines we reset your activations; you then activate once more on every Mac you are keeping. We do not promise a turnaround time.

For keys we hand out without payment — for example in the test programme — there is no purchase contract and therefore no right of withdrawal: there is nothing to cancel and nothing to refund.
